New & Used Surfboard Buyers Guide

Author: Andrew Stedman

Buying a new surfboard can be a tricky experience. Whether you’re an experienced rider or just learning there is a huge amount of choice out there. With 50+ years of surfboard development design concepts for surfboards vary massively.

When choosing a board there are a few key factors to take into consideration. The key questions you need to ask yourself are

What skill level am I?

What is my Height?

What is my Weight?

What type of wave will I be riding?

What is my budget?

Once you have answered these points you need to research which surfboard designs and shapes will give you a board that fits your answers to the above questions.

A comprehensive Surfboard buyers guide is the best place to start. The previous link will guide you to a page with information on all the different types of surfboard available. It discusses Board shapes, tail shapes and bottom shapes with detailed information on the characteristics of each how these design differences affect a Surfboards performance. The link also gives you a height/weight chart that will tell guide you in picking the correct size board.

Once you have decided what type of board will work for you it’s not a bad idea to read some reviews, Surfboard reviews give you a real world view of how a particular model works (or doesn’t work) when out in the waves. For example, It’s nice to know all the technical details on how a particular tail shape might loosen up the board when riding a wave, However if the wrong combination of tail shape and base shape are used together then it can result in a surfboard that simply doesn’t work.

Once you have done your research and have decided on what type of Surfboard will work for you it’s time to buy yourself a board. If you are new to Surfing then there is no point in getting yourself a brand new board. Surfboards are fragile things and your first board will most definitely take a beating. The performance difference between a new and a used board with a few dings on it will not be noticeable to a beginner either. Have a look for a reasonable condition board that is within your budget. Many fantastic new and used surfboard bargains are available across the internet.

Good luck with your search. Finding the right surfboard for you will enable you to maximise your enjoyment while out in the water. Happy Surfing!

Questions to Ask When Buying a Used Car – Tips For Buying a Used Vehicle

Author: Larry Haywood

Buying a used car can be challenging. You most likely need to know what questions to ask when buying a used car. You probably know what model you want, you know your budget and you know the options you’d like in a car. If you’re going to work through a dealer, matching their inventory to your needs may be tricky. You may want to get some tips for buying a used vehicle. The internet makes achieving this very easy.

Want to Save Money On Auto Insurance? Get a Quote Here.

Questions To Ask When Buying a Used Car

Let’s start at the beginning, though. Decide on the what you want. You might want a specific model with certain options and have a limitation on the mileage. Check around on the internet. There are several sites that will give you the “blue book” value of the car.

Next, check local newspapers and internet sites that list cars for sale to get an idea of the prices being asked. If the car of your dreams isn’t currently available in the dealer’s inventory, the dealer can often locate what you’re looking for or show you something similar. This is one of the best tips for buying a used vehicle.

Car dealers are in the business of selling cars and want to get rid of their inventory quickly. Don’t by shy and make an offer on something that meets your requirements. Remember some of the previous questions to ask when buying a used car that we talked about. Ask to see the maintenance record of the car, if it’s available. Since a dealer’s profitability often depends on turning their inventory quickly, it is possible to strike a deal on a car currently in stock, as long as it meets your needs.

Tips For Buying a Used Vehicle

Take the car for a road test and have your own mechanic go over it.
Ask what’s included in any warranty and if any other service agreements are provided with the purchase. If it’s a relatively new car an extended warranty might be available. Make sure you understand the terms and conditions of both the warranty and the service contract. You should know what is covered, what the limitations are and the length of time of any contract. Once you’ve found the car, test driven it, had it inspected by your own mechanic and are satisfied with the terms of sale, you’re good to go ahead and close the deal.

Don’t forget to keep these questions to ask when buying a used car in mind and you’ll save yourself a lot of time. Remember to call your insurance company to make sure that coverage is in effect. Enjoy your new ride. And be sure to pass on these tips for buying a used vehicle to any of your friends who may be looking to buy a used car.

Best Buy Used Car Tips: When it pays to be Meticulous

Author: Hector Milla

Nowadays, more and more people are enticed to buy used cars. With so many financial choices available and cars “living longer,” many people just opt to buy used cars.

In fact, many smart consumers contend that buying used cars is just the same as buying new ones if the buyer knows how to buy used cars.

Hector Milla Editor of the “Direct Auto Loans Lenders” website — http://www.DirectAutoLoanLenders.com — pointed out;

“…So, to help those who wish to buy a car but cannot afford a new one, here are some of the best tips that can be implemented when buying a used car…”

1. Research

It is extremely important for an individual to conduct some research when buying used cars. In this way, the buyer will be able to know the ideal make and model to buy, the kind of performance to seeks, and the prices of used cars in the market.

Moreover, the risk of buying used cars is lessened if the buyer knows the important details to consider when buying used cars.

2. Check the cars history

The car’s history will definitely provide the buyer some solid information regarding the performances, repairs, and problems of the car. So if you CAN discover some history it would be to your advantage. In this way, the buyer will be able to compare and differentiate one car from the other. There are instances wherein used cars are being sold because of some past accidents or negative experiences. Buyers might consider more if the car he or she is about to buy has a history like this one.

3. Check the safety features

What more can you expect with a used car but it does not necessarily mean that the buyer will neglect the availability of safety features in the car.

By all means, an ideal car must possess safety features, whether it is old or new. According to some reports, almost 80% of the accidents are heightened because safety features are not available in the car.

4. Buyers should be wary about the documents that are included when buying used cars.

Buyers should be sure that the car is not stolen, there are no liens on the vehicle, and that the one who signed on the “Bill of Sale” is the true vendor and the possessor of the property.

5. Before buying a used car, it is best to meticulously inspect the overall condition of the car first. Buyers should be wary of any rust or damage; the tires should be checked, etc.

“…Indeed, buying a used car can be very tedious. Nevertheless, it will give the buyer some satisfaction and assurance that what he or she has bought is a good buy…” added H. Milla.

How You Can Get Really Cheap Car Insurance In New Jersey

Author: Elizabeth Newberry

One reason car insurance prices continue to rise in New Jersey as well as the rest of America is insurance fraud. Insurance fraud makes it necessary for car insurance companies – and all insurance companies, for that matter – to raise their rates in order to compensate for the money being paid for illegal insurance claims.

You can help yourself, and your fellow New Jersey drivers, to keep car insurance prices down and help maintain cheap car insurance in New Jersey by educating yourself about insurance fraud.

What is insurance fraud?

A person commits insurance fraud when he or she gives his or her car insurance company false information while filing an insurance claim. For example, if you crashed into a telephone poll, and claimed you had a friend in the vehicle with you who sustained injuries, your friend could collect money from your insurance company to compensate for the injuries. You two could split the money and have a fun night. However, that friend was never in the car, so it’s fraud.

Car Dealer Scams and How to Avoid Them

Author: Car Loans

When you are looking to buy a car with bad or poor credit it doesn’t leave buyers with lots of options. Occasionally their only choice for finding a lender for their new car purchase is through a car dealer loan.

Car dealership loan deals are not as bad as a lot of people may think. However, it is certainly true that they may hide a lot of surprises so if you are in fact planning to use a Car Credit Loan you should be extra vigilant.

The first thing that you need to watch out for is if the interest rate happens to be fixed. By fixed I mean that it’s clearly stated in your contract and that all of it is written in a way that it wouldn’t allow the car dealership to change it at a later date. What lots of car dealerships tend to do is approve your car loan application, have you sign the documents, and hand you over the car. After that later on they just give you a phone call and state that in fact you do not qualify for the loan because you have poor credit (which is something you already knew to begin with) and that you must pay higher interest rates in order to keep the car. If you fall into this situation you should try to either find a loan from another lender or report the scam and fight back.

Another extremely popular scam done by car dealers is to make you look for a cosigner for your loan convincing you that this is the absolutely only way that you can get financing since you have a terrible credit history. It won’t be difficult to convince you at all. First of all it sounds pretty reasonable and second of all the car dealer will cause you to believe that this will in fact repair your poor credit profile. Later on you will discover that your name isn’t including in the loan documents and that the loan is in the name of the cosigner only even though you are paying it . Not only is this illegal but it also may lead to serious penalties but it’s not helping your poor credit at all. If a dealerhship offers such a thing you absolutely must refuse.

If you’re a poor credit consumer and have difficulties in finding a good loan, it’s pretty obvious that you shouldn’t overstretch yourself. What this mean is to buy a reasonably priced vehicle and not to buy into all of the extras like the extended warranties for example. However, many different Bad Credit Auto Loan will end up trying to trick you by making you believe that you must buy a warranty that will increase your loan just to qualify. Since you are in a desperate situation you would end up saying Ok. However, if you for one second think about it, you can plain as day see this is simply a trick to increase your loan costs.

How To Turn Your Old Beat-Up Car Into A Car Donation Tax Deduction

Author: Helen Hecker

If you’re thinking about donating a car to a charity you may want to keep the following tips in mind. A car donation tax deduction can benefit not only you and the charity but a person in need also.

Charities have the option of using donated vehicles for their own use, for providing transportation for volunteers or for charity-related activities such as picking up supplies etc. But more often they will already have enough vehicles and they will sell the auto, truck, RV, airplane or other vehicle from their car lot or through dealers to raise funds for their charity. If the charity uses a dealer they’ve contracted with, the charity may only receive or less from the dealer when the vehicle is sold.

Changes in the laws limit the amount the donor can receive for a used car donation to the actual price that the charity sells the car or truck for.

If the charity or car donation program is not familiar to you, you may want to make sure the charity is eligible from the IRS to receive tax deductible contributions. Request a copy of the charity’s letter of determination from the IRS. This letter verifies the charity’s tax exempt status.

Make sure that the charity or car donation center gives you an itemized detailed receipt for your car donation. Keep it in a safe place and file it with your tax return. Non-cash donations can be an unwanted red flag for an IRS audit so make sure you document the value of the car and keep good detailed records.

If you discover that your old used car is worth more than 0 then you as the donor must fill out Section A of the IRS Form 8283 and file it with your income tax return. Make sure you get a written acknowledgement along with the receipt from the charity because you’ll be required to do so.

If the charity turns around and sells the car instead of using it for transportation then the charity must give the donor certification that the car was sold at what is called “arms length” between parties who are unrelated. And after the sale report the sale price of the car to you within at least 30 days. The donor’s car donation tax deduction will be only for the amount that the charity sold your car for. And if the charity doesn’t sell the car and elects to keep it, then it must give you, the donor, a written receipt for the vehicle within 30 days of the date of the sale.

The charitable car donation organization might also be required to provide certification to the donor showing how it plans to make use of or improve or repair the car or other vehicle and also that it promises it won’t sell or transfer the car to another person or company.

In the US, the federal government imposes penalties on charities that provide fraudulent acknowledgements or documentation to donors.

If the car, truck or vehicle you plan to donate is worth ,000 or more, then an independent appraisal is required and you must fill out Section B of IRS Form 8283. You ma have to get advice from your CPA or accountant on how to handle this.

If you think or know your car or truck or other vehicle is worth less than ,000, you can use the Kelley Blue Book or a little guide book from the National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) to figure out the market value. You can find these guides online or at your local public library. You must use the correct figures for the mileage, date and exact condition of your car – document this as much as possible. Choosing the highest figure listed in the guide for your car model and year without taking into consideration any of the other options and factors will not make the IRS very happy.

Take several current pictures of the car or truck and save all your vehicle receipts for new tires, repair work, or any necessary upgrades to help prove its value.

It’s important to remember, that you as the donor, not the charitable organization, are responsible for determining the value the car. It is you who will pay any penalties if the IRS challenges your figures through an audit.

There are many reputable lesser-known as well as the more well-known charities such as Target, Purple Heart, Kidney Foundation, Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries. Centers are located in every state including Massachusetts, California, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Connecticut etc. Some of the charities in some states seem more active in pursuing the donations than others and you’ll find more ads.

These are just a few of the best tips you should know about if you plan on donating a car, truck, RV, airplane, boat or other vehicle. Armed with these facts you can start to make an educated decision about whether you want to go ahead and donate a vehicle and get a nice car donation tax deduction.

UnoCarDealers – the top venue for car dealers to sell cars

Author: hentrymark

A website launched specifically to help dealers sell their cars online – www.UnoCarDealers.com – offers subscriptions to dealers at surprisingly low prices. These prices are a tenth to a 30th of the prices charged by similar websites, for the same service. The site enjoys high traffic, and high recall rates among car buyers. Many users are repeat visitors to the site – meaning that they find lots of cars that meet their needs. Sellers get many queries from visitors, about the cars they have listed for sale.

Dealers can log onto the site, and start posting cars for sale online within minutes (there is no sales person from the site going to contact / negotiate with you). Here are the basic offerings of the site to car dealers (depending on the plan chosen by the dealer):

A sub-domain of their choice within UnoCarDealers. So the dealer will have a URL like www.UnoCarDealers.com/dealers/sub_domain

An advertisement of the dealer’s choice displayed on any search for cars or car dealerships within 50 miles of the dealer’s zip code.

An advertisement of the dealer’s choice displayed to users of sites affiliated with www.UnoCarDealers.com

Dealers can post an unlimited number of cars for sale.

Dealers can upload up to 16 photographs of each car that is posted for sale.

Priority listing of the dealers’ cars for any relevant search for cars by users.

Priority listing of the car dealership for any relevant search for car dealerships by users.

Customer service available via email.

The site accepts payments from paypal. There is also a one week trial period available with any of the plans that dealers may choose – basic, silver or gold – before which their credit card / paypal account will not be charged.

The value offered for dealers by this site is enormous. A gold subscription (the highest that there is) costs .95 per month as of the time of this writing (the basic plan costs just .95 per month, and the silver plan costs .95 per month). By subscribing to the gold plan the dealer needs to make just one additional sale per YEAR, to more than make up for the amount they would pay in that year. Any sale they make over and above that one sale would be a complete bonus.

So, if you are a car dealer, what are you doing here? You should be at www.UnoCarDealers.com now.

Tips On Buying A Used Car Or Second Hand Car In India

Author: bharatads

Buying a second hand car in India is very tough job than getting a new one, Car has become a prestige for middle class public in Bharat and those who are working in metropolitan cities like Hyderabadin, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai are very much desire to buy.

Consumer behaviour is changing from day to day. Earlier buying two wheeler was first major achievement and now its time to buy atleast a four wheeler.

Here are my personnel tips for those who are buying second hand cars on Internet.

Budget:

By the time you decided to buy a car, you might have decided a budget. Remember one thing; plan a budget not only for buying a used car but also for maintenance, mileage, average distance that you travel in a day, long rides worthiness.

Research:

Post a free ad on Internet that you are looking for second hand car on free Indian classified websites.

Get as much as information about the car fits within your budget. Ask the seller to send real car photos of inner body like seats, steering, Gear system, stereo system and outer body like color, car doors, trunk, engine, tires. If possible ask the seller to send a scanned copy of purchase invoice.

Vehicle History:

History of a car is very important when buying second hand car. Ask the seller to send a copy of invoice, Accident history, car insurance details, any complaints that he has on this car from police department or pollution control board, number of times cars has been sold, any parts of the car changed, tires changed.

Checklist for choosing a seller:

1) Price

2) Car model and features

3) Car history

4) After sale support ( 30 days trial period or 30 days warranty )

5) Optional: seller reviews, if the seller is an agent.

Negotiation:

By the time you are negotiating to buy a car make sure you have at least 3 cars that you are short listed. Local market is not so professional, sellers are aware that buyer definitely going to negotiate the price and by default they will increase the price by half.

So do not shy, negotiate like a vegetable buyer.

Those are some of my personnel buying tips for second hand cars, I recommend to start by post a free ad in free Indian classified website to buy a car.
